Consequences
Although Te Kingitanga was established to unify the Maori's so they could come together and bring with them an obvious leader who displayed the same mana as Queen Victoria, the kingship was seen as a threat to the British Kingdom. Conflict rose through the Country as the kingship began to claim it's rights. The formation had also impacted the Maoris as it not only united them but also caused division within the tribes.
